About the film

‘A Taste of Love’ is the story of a struggling out of work Culinary Network TV chef, Taylor, who returns to her hometown to visit her parents and sort out her future. She arrives home to find her families multi-generational restaurant is up for sale as it can’t compete with contemporary cuisine.

Along the way of trying to save the restaurant, she rekindles her father’s love of cooking, bumps into childhood sweetheart Jacob, surprises the Culinary Network, and makes us laugh and cry along the way.

The Cast

Erin Cahill as Taylor

Growing up around her parent’s hometown restaurant in Dunedin, FL, Taylor got bit by the cooking bug early on. Before too long, she landed a gig on a popular cooking show. She found some recognition cooking easy appetizers spoon-fed to her by the Network. Taylor’s contract runs out and she returns home feeling creatively unfulfilled and looks for her next move.  Jessica, her agent, relights the network interest in Taylor.  Just as her new contract agreement is up for negotiations, Taylor realizes her passion for life and cooking.

Jesse Kove as Jacob

He was always perfectly content with living the simple life, but he did go after dreams of his own. Unbeknownst to Taylor, Jacob purchased and runs a successful farm-stand and dessert shop. When Taylor returns home, due to a family emergency, Jacob and Taylor are like oil and water at first, but soon, their young love re-kindles over family, home, and food!

Marty Kove as Glenn (Taylor’s Father)

Glenn loves his family, cooking, and what their restaurant brings to the community. Taylor is daddy’s little girl all the way, she is the apple of his eye. He always wished Taylor would want to take over the restaurant when he was ready to retire but has never made her feel guilty about having her own goals and dreams.

Susan Gallagher as Patty (Taylor’s Mother)

Taylor’s mother has a warm presence with a smile that can light up a room. She is a down home, open, and giving person. Loves her daughter and is proud of the career she has made for herself. After years of owning their restaurant, she decides it’s time to retire with her husband, Glenn. She is happy to be selling it and looks forward to slowing down and enjoying life more.

Tymberlee Hill as Jessica

Taylors Agent and devoted to Taylor’s career for a while now, she has taking it upon herself to look out for Taylor on and off camera.

Ashley Dulaney as Linda

Linda is Taylor’s High School rival. Even now she continues compete with Taylor in cooking and love.

Chef Stephen Coe as Himself

Coe is a graduate of the culinary arts program at Johnson & Wales University and completed a certificate in French food and language at Institute François des Alpes in Annecy, France. He previously served as executive chef at Mirbeau Inn & Spa at The Pinehills and BOKX 109 American Prime at Hotel Indigo; and led the kitchen of Alba Restaurant in Quincy. He is a strong advocate of sustainable agriculture, sourcing his own honey and seasonal vegetation from local farms in Plymouth.

About the Directors

Partners/Senior Producers at Digital Caviar, best friends since the third grade and United States Military Veterans, Michael and Conrad are known for their ability to turn vision into reality. They have played a vital role in producing and/or directing a respected body of narrative work which includes eight feature films and thirteen short films.

Prior to their transition from commercials to movies, Michael and Conrad produced and directed regional marketing campaigns for several Fortune 500 companies that landed them and their team national recognition and three Telly Awards. Michael and Conrad’s have successfully produced and/or directed over seventy commercials, music videos, and micro documentaries.

LINCOLN LAGESON

Two-time Western Heritage Award winner, two-time CAMIE (Character and Morality in Entertainment) Award winner, and Golden Boot Award winning film and television producer LINCOLN LAGESON has compiled a respected body of work throughout his 26 years in the industry. Projects produced by Lincoln include: 53 Movies of the Week, (10) 2-hour films for the Hallmark Channel Mystery Wheel, and (6) 4-hour mini-series. Lincoln has Directed 2nd Unit on 33 projects. These shows have been produced in conjunction with TNT, ABC, NBC, Lifetime, Spike, Hallmark Channel and Miramax to name a few.

TODD YONTECK

A go to producer in Florida and known for Lady of Manor and Bernie the Dolphin. Founding member of Digital Caviar, a boutique motion picture company. Involved in all aspects of film making including financing, development, production, and distribution. He pulls from his business and medical education as a foundation; augmented with a lifetime of experiences.

ELAYNE SCHNEIDERMAN SCHMIDT

Known for Moonlight, A Florida Project, and Love at Sea (Hallmark). A vastly experienced producer and production manager with extensive contacts throughout the area bringing in projects below budget.

NICK PARLIN

Producer & Writer Nick Parlin has executive produced a number of projects including A “Taste of Love”.  Having worked in the industry for years networking and acting in L.A., Mr. Parlin formed his film production company, Parlin Pictures, to finance and develop projects with his partners. His next project is based on a comic book series and an award winning short film “The Other Side.”
